Shelley Whitley, Guidance Counselor

Welcome to Albemarle Middle School Counseling page. This is my first year at Albemarle Middle School and I look forward to getting to know the students, staff and community. I have worked in Stanly County Schools for 27 years, other than a short time in Cabarrus County Schools. My start was in the cafeteria and driving a bus, then I moved into a custodial position. While in that position, I worked to gain my counseling degree. As a counselor, I enjoy encouraging students to strive to gain knowledge that will help them better themselves and their future. I am available to help with concerns about academics, attendance, social/emotional, friendships or home.
